mystery peugeot
Hello! Anyone know the year/model of this one? I'm not looking to sell, but I am curious to know more. It has Simplex derailleurs.

I'm pretty sure it's a 1978-ish UO-8 or UO-9, based on the following observations:
If the alloy cotterless crankset in the picture is original, it could be a UO-9. It would be easier to tell if there was a pic that showed the drive side of the bike so we could look at the crankset and dérailleurs.
You can compare the bike against catalog pics at cyclespeugeot.com to confirm for yourself.
As for value, UO-series bikes aren't rare, nor are they particularly high quality, so they can be found pretty cheap. Depending on locale and condition, $50-150 would be a ballpark price. Dollar value aside, they are some comfortable frames. I like the fit and ride quality of my '72 UO-8.
- "Aztec" cutouts on the head tube lugs are unique to the UO-series bikes.
- Decal scheme matches the 1978 catalog pics.
- Chrome "socks" on fork.
- Stem shifters.
- Weinmann centerpull brakes.
- Safety levers on brakes.

Thank you for posting photos of your bike. May I ask how much you paid for it? I have the exact same bike but rust everywhere pedal were so bad they had to be replaced as was the cassette and chain. I paid $130 which is cheapish for London UK. Two other guys wanted the bike asap
