Vintage Benotto Bike - black mostly original
This bike belonged to my father - he collected many things just because he liked them - this was one of them. It was in a crate for many years until one of my nephews got it. I believe it is all original, with the exception that he put on new tires - due to rot and a kick stand for display. Can anyone tell em about it?

Those bikes are very common here in Mexico, where it was probably built. In my town, all he old men ride them, though they mostly have coaster brakes after 30 some years. Rod brakes can be finicky. That bike will last forever and will make a great around town bike.

Bikes: No-name LH drive track. Also ride an Exxon Graftek, a Masi, a Trek R200 or a RR Boneshaker for fun!

Got to love the classic look. If the bike is put up for sale, I'd ask a minimum of $100 even if you got no quick interest. With style like that it will eventually find a new owner and there's no sense in giving away that much panache.

General question, what was the logic of the double top tube? Is the top tube the most stressed of the main triangle tubes?
