1980s Bianchi Road single speed
Any thoughts on the value of this 1980s Bianchi single speed? Pics attached. The seller is offering it for $100. Don't have its serial number. Any help would be appreciated!

It looks to be an early 80's Record built in Japan about the bottom of Bianchi's lineup with the current not so great SS setup worth about $100 if everything works. If your looking to buy I would say hard pass on this one you can do better even in the $100-200 range if selling list in on CL for $150 and take the first offer of $100 or more.

I wouldn't go near it for $100. The frame appears to be a '83ish Strada a very basic Hi-Magna and Hi-Tensile frame. The front brake appears to incorrectly adjusted as well as missing the cap nut which sort of holds the brake together. Those two factors would warrant any buyer immediately taking tyhe bike to a shop and spending $50+/- on a tuneup.
Edit: Looking at the pics a third time the sum of the bars, brake levers, and wheels may equal 100+/- but as a bike, unless you can do the needed repairs it isn't worth it. It is a low end road bike converted to a single speed. The seller or someone even used mismatched brakes.

Looks like a fixie that's a fixer-upper. $100 doesn't buy much any more. To its credit, it doesn't appear to have been left out in the weather and has alloy rims and decent tires. Your call, it needs a little work.
