Peugeot ID and worth
I'm not too familiar with Peugeot but I know Mafac Racer and SunTour Cyclone parts are decent quality. Bar end shifters are probably not original but are also decent. UO8/UE8?
What is this worth in its current condition? Also any guesses on its size? Not sure if the listing is accurate.

UO 8, it's likely a 56-57 (22 inch) and maybe worth $75 more or less assuming that the wheels are usable. I'd take a long hard look to make sure they have not been abused.
This is not original and that's not a bad thing. The best part of the UO 8 is the frame; the mafac racer brakes are pretty good too. The rest of the bike (as originally spec'd) not so much. The plastic derailleurs (delrin) are gone and that's a good thing. I like the cotterless crank and hopefully whoever did it knew what he or she was doing. I'd make sure that the cranks turn freely and aren't walloped in some fashion. Assuming everything checks out, maybe worth $75. Heck you could sell the bar end shifters on the C&V for sale forum to recover close to half the asking price of the bike.
I'd likely offer $50 for it and maybe pay $75 if I really wanted it.

I appreciate your feedback on this. I was actually thinking around $50 as well, but I might put this on the maybe list since it does look like it needs a lot of work. If it really is 22" then it's one size too big for me too. I'll go ahead and make the offer and see where that goes. Thanks!
[the mfr's and the trade convention at this time was to measure frame size c-t-t rather than c-t-c.]

I didn't see that the first time around. Is that a cyclone RD and suntour barends? Those two parts are close to being worth $50. I've bought bikes before for parts and then sold and fixed up the bike. This one is marginal but is worth $50 if you want the parts and if the crank is sound as well as the wheels.

Yes, it looks like the FD and RD are earlier generation Cyclone. The shifters look like SunTour Bar Cons - the ones in my parts bin look identical to those. Not sure about the cranks though, they don't look like SunTours. Could possibly be Sugino.

The crankset appears to be a Sugino Super Maxy. The derailleurs are indeed 1st generation SunTour Cyclone. While there is $50 in parts, if the OP is looking for a rider this will require a lot of work. Current set-up is very poor. Looks like an abandoned project bike.
