what's this bike worth?
Just wondering... I found a bike on craigslist.
How much would YOU pay for a 1980 Fuji Gran Tourer SE? Here is a picture of the model in question: https://www.classicfuji.com/GranToure..._1980_Page.htm
And here are the specs: https://www.classicfuji.com/1980_17_S...ions2_Page.htm
I haven't even looked at it yet, so I don't know how it fits or if it's in good condition. What would you pay for it, assuming it was in good condition, and assuming it fit reasonably well?

Assuming that it is in ride ready condition, meaning fresh grease, new cables, good tires, new bar tape, fresh paint etc. I would say 150ish. A lot depends on what market you live in. If the bike is in rough shape I would pay 40-50 max.

I'm moving this to the Vintage Value inquiry sub-forum. That's where people who will have opinions for you will be looking to provide them.

Well, I went there today and took the bike out for a test ride, and gave it a good inspection. It's in surprisingly good condition. The front derailler is a little bit off, but that's about it. I will clean it up, adjust the derailleur, slide up the brake levers so I can reach them easier, (maybe buy some fenders) and then I will have a pretty nice commuter (better than my front suspension walmart mountain bike that's way too small).
I want to go riding now, but I have to work!
I paid $80. I am pretty sure I will get that much value from it.
