Help Identify this Centurion Ironman

I found this on my local craigslist. Can someone give me an idea of what year this is and what is a good price for it? The owner knows less than I do about bikes which is hard to believe. He doesn't know the frame size. Can someone help me explain how to measure the frame size to this guy? Thanks for your feedback.

Seems to have the paint scheme for 1986+/- a year. $150 would be a good deal if you can ride it off the lot. That frame's probably about 21", maybe less

Thanks I was thinking it was around that year. It is hard to tell the size in that pic. Hoping it wasn't that small but you're probably right.

Smaller than 54, it's either a 50 or a 52cm. For Centurion frames, he should measure from the center of the bottom bracket to the top opening of the seat tube, which is lower on the side than the front. Use the side measurement.

If that's a salmon and white, 1987, but it doesn't look like the salmon colored model.

Red/White 86 would be a straight Ironman with 600EX components, coppery Araya rims w/red labels, but should have red hoods (Dia Compe levers on 1986).

Red/White 87 would be a 105-equipped Ironman Expert with Wolber Super Champion rims, hoods would be black, so my guess is 1987 Expert in red and white.

Best I can tell from those pics.

Price is right if condition is average or better.

RobbieTunes-

From what I can tell here (and lots of other posts in C&V), you are the Centurion Ironman expert.

I love my steel roadie, and would love to build up a vintage tri bike.

Thread jack question: did these frames have tri geometry (steeper seat angles?). Thanks!
