Shimano Sante Group, Any $ value or just good parts?

Picked up a '88 Schwinn Circuit w/ full Sante group and it fits me just right so I want to move my 9 speed Ultegra over to it and figure out what to do with the Sante parts.

I found a thread from over a year ago and the opinion seemed to be split on value vs. just using the parts since they work very well.

Has the value changed since then or is it still, YMMV_depends on condition etc. Most of the components are in very good condition except for the rear brake caliper and brake levers, as seen in photos.

Sante was above Ultegra in Shimanos lineup and it shared more technology with Dura Ace than 600/Ultegra.

In the real world on the open market its just as valuable, if not more, as 600/Ultegra tri-color.

Here, you may get $200 for the group, a bit more if you included the entire wheel set.
The group is excellent quality and looks great, would be perfect on someone's bike.

If I sell a bike or two in the next couple of weeks, I may just hit you back to see what's up..

I have to disagree with Miamijim...Sante was about on par with 600 Tricolor, but personally I found it to be a "fashion" group rather than a "practical" group -- for example, the brakes had the quick release as a button on the brake levers, rather than having the variable QR like the Ultegra, Dura Ace, and even 105 groups had. If you have a frame that Sante will LOOK good on, it's awesome, otherwise I'd just sell it.

I would have to agree with Jim and robbietunes. I have 1 bike with complete 600, 1 with complete Sante, and 1 with some Dura Ace 7400. The Sante is actually lighter than some of the DA stuff and functions on par with it. The brakes function great and the group still indexes perfectly. I have more trouble fine tuning the 600 stuff, but that could simply be my derailleur.I think you either like the group or you don't, it is not for everyone. A complete group including everything is definitely worth at least $200 in my opinion. Yours appears to be in good shape also. It can also be cleaned up really well with some rubbing compound to take care of some of the small scratches.
