Schwinn Collegiate Sport 5 Speed 1967
There's a Goodwill store a 5 minute walk from my workplace where I get my used bikes. I just picked up a Schwinn Collegiate Sport 5 Speed 1967 model with the drop bars (brake levers with no suicide levers, kinda unusual!) that is totally stock. Has full chrome fenders and a chainguard, which is kind of funky on a drop bar bike, but cool. This cost me $20, which is a good price here in Portland, where the used bike market is stupid high this year. I think the minium cost for an operational Chicago Schwinn in this town is about $120 or so, most are higher. The bike is missing a seat post and seat (and I have spare Schwinn messinger saddle in my garage) and rear brake cables. It needs new rubber for sure, the tires look original. Lots of scrapes on the paint but the decals are all in good shape. I intend to restore this bike to operational status, polish the chrome, touch up the paint. Don't know if I will keep it or flip it yet.
What kind of price would this bike fetch in YOUR city, and of which city do you speak?

Restored, $100. Either old cruiser Schwinns or the lighter road bikes here. Not much in between, for Schwinn fans.
In the last year, I know I've seen at least a dozen of the upright "touring" Schwinns hanging in garages.
