Value of Old Murray "USA" 10-speed?
This was actually my mom's bike way back. It was in storage for a long time and now has been sitting in my garage for the last couple years. I had a friend ask if he could buy it but before I give it to him I want to see if it's worth anything. It's in pretty good shape. It needs a good cleaning and tune-up but other than that it's fully functional and rides well. (other than the seat being uncomfortable!) Here's the information:
Murray "USA" 10-speed
Shimano shifters
Dia-Compe brakes
BMA Certified
I could not find a year or model...
It weighs aprox. 34lbs (I stood on bathroom scale, then stood on bathroom scale with bike in hand)

As it sits in that photo with the miss-matched tires and sloppy cables, 25 bucks, in perfect running shape, cleaned up with everything braking and shifting as it should, and good rubber, 60-70 bucks max. Good for a campus beater, cool because it's old, no collectible value.

+1 $25. BMA Certification means zip. Personally I would just give it to him.

I hope sanity prevails and these never become collectors items.
