Ideal saddles

I just purchased a late 60's Pogliaghi and it has an Ideal saddle on it. Does anyone know how to tell if it's original to the bike? Also a value on the seat? I plan on fixing this bike up and want to change the saddle. Thanks.

If it has flat alloy rails, throw it up on Ebay and wait for the Japanese bidders to go to war for it. If it has normal rails, it's probably worth about the same as a comparable Brooks.

Possible its original, an early Cinelli or a Brooks would also be likely. If a model 90 worth more than an 80. I happen to like the saddles, easier to get used to than a Brooks.

Did you buy the one on Craigslist in Iowa City on Friday? If so, the saddle's probably from my French bike from the same seller.
