I looked this up and found it was at the bottom of the Raleigh touring lineup and is not much of a touring bike, but that it is still a good bike. Any thoughts on value or condition? The seller said they would take $55 because they want to get rid of it.
Thank you in advance!

if it fits you could do worse for $55. looks like alloy wheels, nice Suntour shifters and great Cdale handlebar bag

$55? Better be in the car and on your way. It will not last. Pretty much any bike shop branded bike in decent condition is worth more than $55.

You pretty much nailed it. while it is listed as a touring bike, it is more of a sport-touring bike. It appears to be in nice shape, no rust and good paint. It looks like it was stored inside. The bag alone is worth $20.
The negatives on it are the nutted rear wheel and stem shifters. The tires and cables also appear to be original.
Bottom line, for $55 I would buy it. I just noticed 5's seems to be this bikes lucky number with 555 tubing and the price being $55.

5s are much better than 6s!
But thanks so much, I am not sure about the frame size, but it has a 31 inch standover and my inseam is a little over 32, so hopefully it fits. Hopefully I'll look at it tomorrow.

555 tubing is pretty nice stuff. I'm with Bill. I'd be there now, buying the bike.
EDIT: Looks like alloy wheels, mid-80s probably a Raleigh USA bike. I like those. Good luck with it, hope you get it.
