Do some catalog searches and you will probably find the exact model, but it is apparently a "Competition". Its name is not Record du Monde, that label was on most all of their bikes during a certain time period. My (now sold) Peugeot P-8 circa 1982 had it on the seat tube also.
The best part of that bike is the lightweight 531 frame and the Stronglight crankset. The Mavic rims are nice, didn't look at the hubs especially.
Everything else is pretty much what I'd expect to see on a Peugeot for that period. Looks to be a mid-level bike in their tier. I'll do some checking to see if I can come up with any other info for you.
bottom line is it is a very nice bike, although I'm not a fan of Simplex RDs.

I am not a Peugeot fan but I like the looks of this one.

Next time, try counting the teeth before jumping to conclusions. The 62 is likely the MODEL # of the crankset, not the number of teeth on that chainring.
Have you gone to the two websites listed above? If you had, you would see that Peugeot, like most manufacturers of the era, typically used 52 as the large chainring and 42 or 40 as the small.
If you like your Peugeot as much as it seems, take the time to research it and other models of the era. It is fun, you learn a lot.
