Not a "classic" yet but old and I would love feedback on this bike:
Iridescent paint (Majestic purple) lugged frame, main triangle is Aluminum, stays and fork is Cr-Mo.
this bike has very little use and is totally original execpt for the watter bottle and cage. From I can see only the forks have paint damage.
Specs: All components are Shimano Deore LX even the pedals.
Frame: AlumiTech 6000 Aluminum Presurised Adhesive (APA) S/N SG59477
both brakes, hubs shifters, brake levers, cranks, pedals, both derailers are all Shimano Deore LX.
Tires are Ritchey MegaBite 2.0
Rims are Araya 26x1.50 HE VP-20 (Japan)
Stem: Sakae
HEADSET: Tange
Handlebars: Sakae MT
Forks = Crome moly
Seat: Avocet mountain M30 Spenco gel
Seat Clamp: Sakae (SR)
Seat post: 26 8 Japan SR F-89
Water Bottle cage: vetta
Crank: Shimano Deore LX (VIA 175)
Crank Gear Shimano SG C-46, C-36, C-24 (For narrow chain only)
Shimano toe clips and I forgot what brand of straps they are.

I'm in the Toronro GTA area, if that help determine how much a bike like this is worth.

WOW that is funky!! I have no idea of the value but it is something I might pick up just because it is cool and unusual.

I have that saddle... to really sell it maybe $150. I see stuff like that in my local ads go all the time for 60-80$. Maybe to someone nostalgic for that model/brand a bit more. It's funny because I was obsessed with MTB's in the '90s but never heard of a Miyata MTB. The bikes with followings seem to be Trek, Specialized, Pro flex and the like.
250$? I will be shocked if he gets that for that pile of poo. I'd pay maybe $60 max for that. The lx parts sell for like 20$ max, last brakes I saw went for 7$! The baby boomers were evidently not mountain bikers.
... I see it has been for sale at least since Nov. 2010 so I guess I am right.

Not sure but I guess all the brands made mountain bikes or ATB.
I was thinking turning it into a commuter, something like this, but times are tough and I have too many bikes.
Someone else's pickture:
