Viner (vintage?) - is it worth $500?
The bike in the link below is being sold a few hours drive from me and I'm wondering if it's worth the trek. Seller hasn't answered many questions, so I thought I'd post to see what you guys thought. What year is it approx? Is it worth $500? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Depends on the Campy group, I think. I have an earlier Viner, and the craft on the frame is very nice. Later ones I've seen aren't as well crafted (this frame is later).
I don't like the seller's use of search terms, however. I doubt he'll come down much,as well.

I am not sure about the sellers sizing methods, a 54cm frame for someone 5''8" to 5'10" seems small to me.
it is an OK looking bike but how many miles on the drive train? the Record cranks and Athena brakes are nice though
