Value of a 1987 Fuji Absolute?
Hello,
Just about a week ago my dad got hit by a car while riding his bike, he's okay but the bike got messed up. So now we are trying to find out around how much is the bike worth, so the person that hit him accidently could replace it, or give him money in return so he could buy a new bike. Please let me know around how much you think its worth. Thank You |
Thats a relatively low end Fuji for rhat year. With no idea of the condition or components I would guess $100 as it was obviously in rideable condition. Need more info for a better estimate.

Most of this information I got it from the classicfuji website. Thank You |
I have the Fuji Arcadia bike, which is one step down from the Absolute. Frankly, it's an awesome bike and I wouldn't sell it for anything. If you want to get an approximate value, check around on Craig's List and other sites as if you were trying to purchase that bike to see what the going price is.
If it were me, I wouldn't be going after the actual price of the bike. I'd be going after how much it would cost me to replace the bike with an equivalent bike at today's prices. |
Some type of detailed information to back your claim would be a help. A solid description of the bike, and comparable prices for similar bikes would be in order.
You can find prices for similar bikes here... http://bike.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/bike.c...o=d&submit=+GO+ You can get a description of the bike from the original Fuji catalog page for the bike... http://classicfuji.com/Absolute_1987_Page.htm Depending on condition and market, $100 to $150 is a rough guess. That should be the least of the worries. |
