ZULLO Criterium whats she worth?
I know nothing about road bikes let alone vintage road bikes but I have a Zullo bike and was wondering what you fine folks over here in C&V appraisals think it may be worth. It has the rear brake line going through the top tube chrome forks and one stay is also chrome The fork has a Columbus decal? on it that says Forcella Originale above the Columbus and over all I think its pretty cool looking.
Cinelli 66-40 bars which also say Campione Del Mondo Suntour cyclone on the crank arms/pedals Cyclone M-ii FD Suntour AR RD Diacomp 400 brakes Suntour Vx hubs with Araya 700c wheels If you need any other info or images to help determine anything about the bike I can get it posted here. here are a few images. http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...e/DSC00491.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...e/DSC00491.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...e/DSC00496.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...e/DSC00524.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...e/DSC00521.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...e/DSC00539.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...e/DSC00534.jpg http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...e/DSC00531.jpg Thanks in advance for any info guys and gals. I love Zullos, and as recently as last Tuesday had three.
I have a Zullo Sprint that remains, and it is a nice riding bicycle. I sold my Criterium for a fair amount of money, but it was loaded with Campy Super Record. It was spotless. Yours has a mix of parts I haven't seen on a Zullo. Most of the Zullos I have seen have had either Shimano 600 or Gran Sport, Nuovo Record, or Super Record. I would ditch the rack, clean the daylights out of her, and put on fresh bar tape for starters. I would say yours might go for $250 or so in the Twin Cities as she sits though. |
Hey Gomango, Thanks for the reply/opinion :) Getting rid of the rack and cleaning it up was the plan! there is a bit of rust on the chrome forks and that stay but I think I can get most if not all of it out. I wish the bike was bigger so that i could clean it up and ride it myself but its way too small for me and my wife is unfortunately not interested in riding bicycles :( so selling it will most likely be in its future. $250 as is? really? very cool! I emailed Zullo and initially got a reply but after I sent the images no response yet as to the year etc of the frame.
Thanks again and anyone else that has an opinion on the bike I would love to hear it. As ever Me |
Bueller... Bueller... Anyone else? opinions? :)
Started the clean up and its actually not bad looking under the grime! |
I'm not positive on a number, but all cleaned up you could get 300 + around here.

With some white bar tape and housing and a good cleaning, it would go for an easy $400 here in Toronto. Shorter folks have poor choices usually, this bike is very nice.
