Sell wheels or cut hubs out?
I've got a fairly clean early '70s NR drivetrain that I'm removing from a recent acquisition. The hubs still spin smoothly, but the spokes are heavily rusted. I've cleaned old steel spokes before, but some of these have large sections of flaking. They are laced to a set of tubular rims as well.
I'm hoping to maximise the profit from the sale of the parts to recover the cost of the bike (obviously,) and hopefully enough to keep my wife happy. If I can make enough
(or keep my wife really happy), I might have the frame powdercoated.
And to kill two birds with one post,
Sell drivetrain as a lot or part out?
The RD is marked '72, but has a cracked pulley
I don't see a date on the FD
Crankset is marked with a 3 in a diamond
All parts are marked "Campagnolo Patent"
DT shifters
Aforementioned hubs

Definitely cut out the hubs. And for max profit, you will need to sell separately. Good luck.
