80's Bianchi Axis value

I'm looking at an 80's Bianchi axis that is for sale locally on CL. I believe it is an 88 or an 89 with a 52cm Tange Superset II frame and Suntour XCD components (haven't seen it in person yet). The seller is asking $375 and it seems a bit steep to me, though supposedly the bike is pristine. Any opinions on a fair offer I could make?

The bike appears to be in amazing condition. I could see the right buyer paying over well over $300 for it. If the seller is having trouble finding that buyer, you might be able to get it for around $325, but I doubt you'd get any lower than that. In this case I bet the seller knows what it's worth and won't let it go for much less. I'd make an offer of $325 and see what happens.

If you really want it, I don't think paying $375 would be insane.

I recently sold one for $260 and it didn't have the drop bars, brake levers, and bar end shifters. The Axis in consideration looks great and worth the price. If you can get it for less, go ahead and try. However, you may lose it to someone willing the pay the full amount. I would negotiate the price in person. I wouldn't do it through an email or phone call. Also, my Axis was made in Taiwan and the one you are considering is probably made there also. Good luck.
