Just to be sure...
For the univega I posted about in this thread: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...ore?highlight= does around $275-300 sound about right in socal market?
|
For a bike with DA bits? And that clean? Steal.
|
Im selling the bike only, no dura ace or extra parts. Is 275-300 fair?
|
Apologies - I misread. Well, it's super clean, but with those parts, I'd be asking 200ish.
|
I have a hard time selling decent bikes in soCal. I would never get anything close to $300. Honestly, it's "just" a Univega.
+1 to KonAaron. ~$200. |

Around here that bike would be at $200 tops. Probably sell for around $150. I know I wouldn't pay more than $100 for it, but someone in Cali might. |

I'm in SoCal and watch CL on a daily basis. My comment is that if you want to sell it in a reasonable length of time, 150-175 would be a good price. You can ask more, but then you would be looking for that "right" person.
Good Luck, Drew |
I would suggest you put your photos on photobucket or whatever so you can have full size pics in your ad. I think it would help to sell it. The complete bike/drive side photo is tiny and has no detail and the front photo shows very little.
It would need cantilever brakes, bar end shifters etc to get touring bike dollars. I live in your city and you MIGHT get $225 for it, IMO with large quality photos but likely less. |
Unfortunately, it doesn't have canti brakes. That pushes the value down quite a bit. $175 to $200. If it had canti brakes and barcons, value would be pushing $300.

update: sold for $225
