1991 Cinelli the Machine (mountain bike)
I have a 1991 Cinelli mountain bike and I am wondering what it is worth. I have the original Cinelli flat bar that came with it and think that the whole bike is all original. Would be grateful for any information you have about it.

Don't know much about this bike. Yet I can tell you that early 90's mountain bikes are a hard sell in most markets and one is hard pressed to get much more than $200-250 for one no matter how nice it is. Good luck on selling the bike though.

That's the kind of thing where there really isn't an established market. It'll all depend on which two people are watching when it's listed and how much they want it.

It's an awesome bike and I'd personally love to have it, but it's a hard sell. Vintage MTB collectors probably aren't searching for Cinellis, and Cinelli collectors probably aren't looking for MTBs.
I think this is one where selling it on ebay could potentially get you a lot more money. Still, I'd be surprised if you got more than $300 for it.

+1 Rare for an early 90s MTB to bring over about $150 to $175. Clean this one up, and I think you could get $250 for it due to the name and nice components. And you could get a higher number potentially on ebay, just need two people that want it.

I agree it is a bit big for a MTB for me but for $200 I would snatch it right up. it is still pretty tempting at 250 for a skinny tire tourer/city bike conversion like I did mto my Grizzly.

I will say it has Big chainstays. The price could go anyplace between $150 and $400. As stated folk are not looking for Cinelli mtb's. This bike is from a time when front suspension was coming in.

I'd pay $300 after thinking about it...it's a cool bike. Did Cinelli actually make these or rebadge something else?

I may have to try and look into this. another MAX especially an OR always has a place in my flat, it just seems like a big frame

If it was smaller I'd be all over this. Cool bike but too bad it didn't have one of the Campy MTB gruppos instead of ShimaNO.
