hi- my grandson has the frame of a 1947 silver king- different forks- but its aluminum- -how -or where would someone be interested- no tires- but its awesome- thanks

Hello and welcome to the forums. is the bike complete except for tires? or is it just the frame? if you or your grandson can post some pics we can give him some idea of if it is something worth trying to sell as is or would need repair before being sellable.

+1 Ebay is the land of variation. And marketing plays a critical part of selling on ebay. Its not like potential buyers are going to drive to your home and inspect the bike (OK it can happen, but its rare. I had that happen on a motorcycle I sold on ebay once).

I've seen a Silver King, fellow here owns one. But I have no idea on the value. I will say not having an original (and probably almost unobtainable) fork will greatly depress the value to a collector. Personally, I think they're cool.
