I think I sold the same model last summer it was a 50cm frame... totally refurbished but frame has some paint issues... I got $165 for it. Value is subject to condition and location. In my area... which is a hot bike market... I would get between $165 and $225 for that bike once refurbished and ready to ride. Put some new white bar tape on it and it will look good.

I was thinking white or possibly cork tape, and switching out the seat to either white/or leather brown, white on white or brown/cork

with that being said

I was considering $250 would be a starting point to ask

'83ish maybe a Standard or a Special. any interest in parting out that BlueLine? I have a NOS VX something or other and I am sure could find something else to trade.

It's a Bianchi but a lower end one. I'd say $200 max around here.

How do the decals look? They appear a little rough in the photo.

Top tube paint looks distressed, maybe its just the picture. Stem looks past minimum insert line. Rusty chain, lever hoods look worn. Original tires is not really a plus, as that means they are close to 20 years old. In my experience, at that point, the tires are really aged. Also signals buyer that bearings, grease, and cables need service.

BL is good, middle of the road, Suntour model. Look up component codes on vintage Trek site for age, somewhere around 1983 is pretty close. Having the exact year is really not important or the sale, call it 1983, 1984, or 1982. If it was top of the line, collectible, then the year can matter.

In my market, it would not sell for $250, it really depends where you live.

Just bought some new white bar tape, new chain, ripped off lever hoods.

paint is good, picture not so much.

decals are not mint but not bad at all for age

Sounds reasonable. Raise up the saddle for the ad photos. Looks really goofy when I see an ad with the saddle slammed like that.

Given the hi-manganese main tubes and era, it may be a Classica with upgraded derailleurs. The BL deralleurs are definitely the high point and seen too upscale for the swaged crankset with the large chainring integrated into the spider. I'd also try to find a dustcap for the pedal. As to the year, I should be able to determine it from the serial number.
