I've been sitting back waiting for a response to this thread also. I have a nice 1984 set I'm going to make use of soon myself, mostly because they function flawlessly (but it doesn't hurt that they also look pretty good either.)

Full on value just check completed on Ebay. If you dont own it and your just looking to buy, its only worth what your willing to pay and there willing to sell it for. Maybe 50-100 bucks.

I love to only pay $50-100 for a Superbe group, but there's no way I'd ever sell mine for that. No way!

Condition, what generation all come into play. Are the hoods intact?

Im just not understanding this thread. Does someone have one you want to buy? Are you planning a build and wanting to know what to expect to spend on the group?

I think I kind of get it. I think the OP has the group already and is just curious what he/she has. I know the real value is what you are willing to shell out for something, but I find myself pondering the same things too: I wonder what my PX-10 is going for these days? How about that NOS set of shifters I've had hanging around forever for a build that has never emerged? It's just natural curiosity sometimes.

Well in that case I would just watch completed trends on Ebay. The only thing I have not been able to do that for is a set of Mafac Top63s I have.

I'd guess, complete, 400ish (assuming decent ad, eBay and seller with feedback). Honestly, I'd rather have Campagnolo NR at that price and consider Suntour overvalued on the market right now. I know plenty here will disagree.

Very close.

I sold one last Saturday for $375 to a forum member.

What generation makes a big difference, as does condition. Someone here in Chicago has been selling (or trying to via CL) the derailleurs and shifters from an early iteration at $60 and apparently getting no takers. That seems cheap, but from his photos it looks like the condition is okay, not prime, and the shifters are (IMHO) kind of ugly, the ones with the cutouts in them.

I'm looking for the late/last generation Superbe Pro shifters and derailleurs now myself, the ones where 7 or even 8 sp Accushift worked well. I like the looks and the similar Suntour GPX I had worked fine. The RDs of that generation are going for $50-60 alone lately. I'm pretty sure that, as usual, they were going for half that up until the week before I got interested in them.

OP should post pics to get any meaningful advice on value. And it should go in the valuation forum too.

I think of the availability of Superbe vs. Nuovo Record is helping driving the Superbe market lately. Plus a lot of people are discovering that some Japanese components aren't so bad after all.

I have a feeling that more people saved their Campy...driving what you said. It's sort of like how you see a lot more Colnagos than team miyatas.

And it is all about condition. Without pics, no idea. I've bought a couple of bikes just to harvest Superbe Pro bits. +1 Lots of models of Superbe Pro.

And does your set have good lever hoods? I see a lot of levers missing the hoods.

I define group a little differently, group would include HS, BB and seat post.

+1 I like the late 1980s version.

Sorry I posted in the wrong forum.
Anyway, I am considering buying a complete bike that has one of these groups for the frame set and was trying to gauge how much the sale of the components would cover my initial lay out. However I have loved my Sprint 9000 stuff in the past, so i may keep it.

It's the last generation friction group, just before it went to accushift. Hoods in good condition. Can these parts be polished or are they clear anodized?
