LeMond Zurich Frameset

Not sure if a 2000 makes the vintage cut, but it is steel at least. I came across this by chance and am not sure what Im going to do with it. I would likely sell it for sure, except that I found two areas that have been touched up on the frame upon closer inspection. (see pics)

How much does that hurt the value of this frame?

Did I mention it is my size?

I wouldnt think it would affect the value too much, the person that owns the bike notices the touch ups the most, to everyone else it looks like nothing.

Since its not that old i would only knock like $20 most, off the price. Bikes are meant to be ridden and this is mint in my eyes. Every nik adds character.

As long as the touch-ups aren't concealing major damage they shouldn't affect the value too much. If you sell, probably in the $300 to 450 range. Not too bad for a 853 frame with a carbon fork. Try riding it before selling, you might like it.

The frame and (is it carbon?) fork look fine to me. The late 1990's/early 2000's Zurichs are outstanding road bikes. I really like the ride of
my 2002 Zurich, which also has an 853 frame and carbon fork. I think that Zurichs from this era are every bit as good, in terms of ride quality,
as modern bikes costing much more (the original Zurich list prices were in the $1800 range). You can find them used in great shape in the
$500-900 range. Most came equipped with top-end Ultegra components.

I also like the fact that these Zurichs are Made in the USA.

I have a 2001 maillot jaune, very similar, I think the only difference is some pearl in the paint. With that said, I would ride it if I were you. I have nothing but great things to say about my lemond, I currently have an ultegra sl group set and ksyrium elite wheels on it for a weight of 17.5lbs, and id say it rides just as well as any sub 2000$ bike I could find. So to answer your original question, you'd get about 350-450, but I'd say the frane quality is worth that of steel frames that generally run 600-800, in my opinion. Good luck.
