Vintage Nishiki...need help ASAP
I'm thinking of buying this 1971 Nishiki Semi-Pro on craigslist but know next to nothing about doing this. I rode it and it felt super smooth and shifted great. There is some rust but other than that everything seems ok. Also talked the seller down to 300. Does anyone have any idea what this bike should be worth?

In a hot market like SF, it will probably sell at or near asking price. Here in Hooterville, the rust would need to be addressed, and then it might bring $250 (in current condition, it would go for less). Cables and housings look old/need to be replaced. Semi Pro is a desirable model from that era.

Based on his asking price - he obviously is looking for $300. Put in a firm offer of $275 and be prepared to walk away if you want to chisle him . Agree with T. Bill's comment on asking price.

shoot sorry! I would post some but I don't have a camera right now, and unfortunately didn't save the pictures from the ad. Will post if I get hold of a camera anytime soon.
