It might be worth $615 but that hasn't met the reserve. I would pass. There are plenty of good frames available for that price.

looks really nice, dunno if it will meet its reserve, whatever that is. The fact that he seems to be able to charge what he wants now is going to make his older bikes worth a bit more, but even then they don't approach what a new frame would cost.

Look at the top tube. It long really long in relation to the rest of the frame tubes. I am going to bet this was a custom bike for someone. It might fit you but you wont know until it arrives on your doorstep. $800 is a bit much for that frame in my opinon.

Dang!, that's a really steep head tube there!
I did hear of/seen "J.P. Weigle" bikes before, but it's kind of outside my C&V "bike radar" but I think the high bids (even for such a large sized frame) for this one indicates that it's a very desirable bike.

Weigle is a custom frame maker. It may very well be worth the money if it is exactly what you are looking for. If it's not exactly what you want, then it's probably smarter to look elsewhere.

Peter does impeccable work; his wife Betsy does all of the paint and finish on the frames. They've been around for decades.
