Huret Jubilee derailleur set plus TA crank & BB (picture heavy)
These came on a Raleigh Competition Frameset I picked up. A friend of mine wants them but expects me to name a price. I know they RD goes for upwards of $100 on PayBay, and the front for nearly that much but these are not new old-stock.They are clean but have had a long life. I tested them out on an 8-speed cassette and chain and was amazed at how well they worked up to the limits of the RD travel.
The non-drive crank looks a little mungled on the inside face but is still quite usable IMHO. The downtube shifter isn't a true match for this group but still is a Huret.
What should I ask for this? I don't want to over-charge my friend but I don't want to short myself either. If it more than my friend wants to pay I'd like to know a close price and will probably attempt to sell it on CL here in Chicago or to a BF-er.

Sold as a group, you will always get less than if you sold the different components separately.
I would think that around $275ish max. would be a fair price for those used components. Sold separately, you might get close to another 100 bucks total on top for them. The derailleurs are uber cool, but the rest of the stuff is pretty ordinary looking to most eyes.
It's up to you if you want to give you friend a special discount.......like maybe if he has a really beautiful looking single sister.....and you're single too.....
Just a suggestion, do a thorough disassembly and cleaning/servicing of all the components. You'd be surprised how much more people would pay for really clean components.

Compared to my front Huret Jubillee derailleur, they are in good to excellent condition and polishing would make them shine. My HJ rear is currently wrapping a 13-28 six speed freewheel cog set..works great. I'd buy the front just to improve the looks of my Moto B Grand Jubilee.
If it's a friend you'll never see after 10 years, I'd say $300 and make them barter down. If more than a friend, then whatever you want to be nice.

Just curious...what do the bearing surfaces of the BB races look like?

The bearing faces look really nice all things considered. There is some staining on the non-drive-side adjustable cup but not pitted. There is some pitting on the lockring though as you can see on the back side. It looks way worse in the picture than under magnification. When I pulled the BB apart the grease was still green and fresh and the balls like new. Looks like the bike was ridden and cared for up until a few years ago.
The red you are seeing is a reflection of the camera case color as I am doing extreme macro close-up here.

There is a breach in the chrome on the adjustable cup on the outside too at one of the pin holes -probably done by someone working on the BB without a proper pin spanner and chipping the chrome, or just going too fast.
