Doesn't look like a size I'd ride, but the price of $20 seems pretty nice. Any idea what this is and if it's worth my time even if it's definetely not my size?

Also a Huffy (yeah, I know) but seems pretty good priced too.

"needs a little work" yeah - needs a LOT of parts.

It's a mixte which is cool, but it has one piece cranks which is very odd. Maybe an old Ross? I'm sure it's worth $20, but not really any more than that.

Not your size so you'd need to build it and sell it. You have brakes, levers, shifters, derailleurs, cables, housing, clamps, tape, etc - and tools - laying around? If not, figure how much it would cost you to buy all that stuff, how much your time is worth, how much profit you'd net from a $150 sale. A low-end mixte with no brand identification, hard to see getting all that much more, even in Portland. I imagine the seller has figured out the answer, and it is less than $20.

Thanks for the help, guys. I was hoping I might of actually stumbled upon something that I could turn around and make it worth my while, using the profits to fund further adventures on my own bikes, but maybe not this time.

Good idea, wrong bikes. I recommend this approach all of the time. Rather than just limiting your search for deals for bikes in a specific size or type, look for any deals. Then use the profits from those deals to buy the bike of your dreams. Those bikes are both turds, that will not yield any $$ by the time you do the work on them. Aim higher, look for ads with limited/no information, or better yet, word of mouth or garage sales.

Pretty much any deal on C/L is going to sell fast, lightning fast. Too fast to get an answer to: "Hey is this one a good deal?" So you have to be ready and willing to pounce. I missed out on a smokin hot deal yesterday, called 45 minutes after the ad went up, gone. $500 bike for $100.......

If you're established with some spare parts the mixte might be worth the $20 for parts. If the tires are good, the wheels are alloy, and the stem is not the smaller size (as on most Huffy bikes) the bike would add to the spare parts bin. The pedals, saddle, and drop bars can be recycled. The remaining frame is worth $2 in salvage metal. Typically you'll want complete bikes, only needing consumables like tires.

well you could buy both bikes, for $20 each, and build up the mixte frame and have a bike worth $50-$60. So is the $10-$20 profit worth the time you'd put into it?

Also its hard to tell from the pics but I'm pretty sure the Mixte has the wrong wheel on the rear. It looks like it should have old school 26inch steel wheels like what's on the front and the rear looks like a 27inch. There just isn't much of anything of value to the bike except maybe $10-20 worth of cheap steel parts.
