Note that the rear drive side dropout has a forged derailleur hanger. And it appears that the seatstays wrap at the seatpost top. No cable braze-ons for rear derailleur or rear brake. The frame belies an earlier time, but decent quality. The components are nothing special. I'd say early 1970s and of better than entry-level quality.
If I wanted that frame, I'd buy with an eye toward discarding the swaged generic Sugino crankset and the Simplex derailleur (probably clean and sell those).
Targets:
Buying $125
Selling $300, after adding period correct SunTour derailleurs/shifters.

$300 is a pipe dream for that bike.
There were plenty of good looking Falcons that were of intermediate quality (ie not low, not high). The only thing special about this frame are the wraparound seat stays. If I were going to shell out $300, I'd want to know what kind of steel the frame material is. My guess is that it's not 531, in which case this is a $150-$200 bike on the selling side, tops.
I agree with $125 on the buying.

I have owned the bike for 38 years. I friend that was a competetive rider gave it to me. It has not really been used in about 25 years. Thank you for your assistance. I thought it might be of some value. I will list it for $200 locally and see if anyone buys.

Timmy T is probably right:
I didn't see the nutted rear axle. As it is, $200 is probably a fair target. With a matched set of q/r hubbed wheels, foam replaced with bar tape, extension levers removed/replaced with replica hoods, all bearings regreased, wheels trued, everything polished, I think I could sell it for $265 in DC. PG

Hey Steve, I just picked up one similar to yours. Mine has the wrap round seat stays, but shimano 'crane'rear derailer and weinman rims and brakes. I don't have pics yet, but it is in great shape. Mine is red with all original parts(i guess)and a 531 Reynolds sticker on the seat tube. I paid 200.00 so I am ok with it. 5 speed and pretty light for an old bike 21inch frame.
