Value of 60th Anniversary Tim Isaac (Match) Paramount - Ultegra?

Bought as a frameset and built as a gift for my wife in late 1998. Includes 9-speed Ultegra and Flight Deck compu, same vintage as bike. Red CXP 33 rims match the frame color. These lugged 853 frames were built with the highest level of craftsmanship and are stunning. Very tight clearance on fork crown & seat tube, curved chain & seatstays and a cool recessed seat binder in the fastback seatstays. In comparison with my lugged 753 Waterford, the Match built Paramount is the more striking bike.

I incorrectly estimated how much parenthood would impact our cycling! The bike hangs in the basement, haveing been ridden at most 6x. Condition is mint. I will attach pictures when I get a moment...

Google helped me find an old thread on these forums that included the following info on this frameset:

The years of Match Cycle Paramount production were 1998 - 2000.

Tim Isaac owned Match Cycles, and employed some of the greatest frame makers in the business including Kirk Pacenti, Steve Hampsten, Curt Goodrich, Mark Bulgier, Brian McCarthy, Rick Ghneme, Alistair Spence, Martin Tweedy and Dan Swanson.

Schwinn was owned by Pacific Cycle at the time, and contracted with Match (Tim Isaac) to build the steel Paramounts while Ben Serotta built Ti Paramounts using the same geometry and graphics.

I've heard that most of the Match Cycle Paramounts that were built up (not sold as just the frame set) had the 9-speed Dura-Ace group.

Hi Doug, and welcome to BikeForums. The 1999 Match built Paramounts were sold as a frameset, but were typically equipped with Ultegra or Dura-Ace by the dealer. Of course, if the frameset was ordered by a customer, he/she could specify whatever component group the frame was to be built up with. These are really great bikes, but for some reason the quality hasn't resulted in the kind of prices one would expect. THIS ONE went unsold on eBay with a starting bid of $800. There's also one on eBay right now with a starting bid of $700 and a BIN of $1200, but no bids so far. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-Schwinn...-/221118193603

Curt Goodrich built most of the frames.

Here's the '99 catalog page and geometry diagram.

Pictures please! I want to see this one.

Despite these bikes being "undervalued" for what they are, I think they're in that no-man's-land of too old to appeal to the racers but too new to appeal to the vintage crowd.

Size will also play a role in how much you can get for it.
