Pinarello Montello SLX

Looking to buy a Pinarello Montello SLX, asking price is $950, which is a little steep. I would probably want to swap out the Alex R500s for some Mavic Open Pros I have, but otherwise the size is pretty perfect for me. Worth the $950?

Why does it have a Colnago fork? SLX is a great frame but I think one with an older and mixed 105 group $950 seems a bit much.

I am not seeing $950 there and the different fork is a warning sign, as stated above. 105 Franken-build means it's worth a bout frame value, slight premium, and an SLX Pinarello with the wrong fork is not in that ball park.
With Chorus or C-record, and the right fork, it's a buy...not with 105. |
