What model is my Miele and what's it worth?

Hey all. First time posting so I hope I stick to all the rules! Ive got an older Miele road bike but I dont know what model or year it is. Thought this would be a good place to try and find out, and to see what it might be worth.

Id love to find out about its history.

Here is what I gleaned from the bike:

Frame: 59cm steel
Parts: Shimano Light Action SIS
Breaks: Shimano (BR Z57)
Rims: Ambrosio High Pressure (tires 700x23C)
Crank: Sugino Cycloid MP 110
Fork: Suzue (chrome)
Bars: Italmanubri

Ive added a new seat (SDG Bel Air) and new tires (Vittoria Zaffiro Pro)

Here are some pics:

Nice bike , really like the color ! It is probably a steel frame , put a magnet to it and see for sure. I would put the value near $300 in ready to ride shape. Sorry , not sure of the model.

+1 on probably a steel frame. Thinking more of a $250-ish on this.

BTW: your seatpost is installed 180 degrees backwards.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Did the magnet test you're both right on it being steel not aluminium. And thanks for the heads up on the seat post, I turned it around! Wonder if that was affecting my riding?

I paid 250-300 for it, cant recall exactly, a couple years ago. Matches with what you are both saying.

Any idea about what parts would have been original and what parts you can tell are add on's?

The colours threw me off at first, wasnt sure about it. But eventually I embraced the Miami Vice vibe and rolled with it. Accented with white where I could - doesnt really fly under the radar so it gets some attention... a bit flashy for me but it grows on ya

I'm guessing that someone cannibalized the parts off of it , as the ones I've seen photos of have matching groups, i.e. full Shimano 105 or 600, etc.( Mine has full 105). Sorry to be rude, but could you please remove that crankset and put something else on there , say Shimano 600 ?

Yeah, probably about time I upgraded on the components. Crank would be a place to start, never understood the oval shape of the Cycloid... always wonder if its screwing with my power/cadence/ect

Newbie -- recommend you hesitate with beginning an upgrade cycle. The bike is basically worth what you already have invested in it. Unless something is broken or just badly doesn't fit you, more money spent is well...wasted in the big picture of things. If you happen to have a 105 set just lying around that you haven't been able to sell, then sure put it back to original and sell off the scraps. Doing so won't really improve a future selling price much though

+1 Light Action components that you have are relatively low end, but are nice performers. As you consider upgrades, cost will exceed what a similar bike with those componwents already on it. So at that point, you are ahead just selling it and buying another bike.

Until then, you have a nice bike. Enjoy it!
