What is my Miyata 710 worth?

Here are some details:

27" frame
Suntour derailleurs front and rear

It purchased it in 2005 for $150 and had to put a fair amount of money into it - new tires, overhall, etc. I have ridden it a lot and it has given me a lot of pleasure, never had any problems. But now haven't used it it a long time and thinking of selling.

This is the best pic I have on me. I'll try to find some more later on...

EDIT
OK, here is a folder with some more pics, the whole bike, details of the derailleur, etc

You have what appears to be a 1980-1981 Miyata 710. The serial number will confirm the exact year. We need current pics to accurately assess the actual condition, however given you're in a very expensive market you should be able to recoup your intiial investment, unless it's in worse than average condition.

Thanks a lot. It does look like from the 1981 catalog I found on www.miyatacatalogs.com, in Cardinal Red

The serial number is J341174 -- any idea what that means exactly?

I just took a bunch more pictures of the bike and will upload them to this post later this evening.

Sure does not look like a 27 inch frame.

Here's a 27 inch frame:

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.

Supposedly that means it was made in 1981.

And yeah, even at that weird angle a 27" frame would certainly look like a gigantic bike.

Maybe you mean it has 27" wheels?
