Suntour GPX ?
Funny how things work...I now have a groupset and a half (or more) in Suntour GPX and am not sure how to price them.
The full group came off a 1989 Centurion Ironman. It's the BB, crankset, both derailleurs, and both brakes and calipers. And the wheelset! I would say it's all in average condition as far as wear: crankset has marks, RD has a bit of 'rash,' white brake lever hoods are filthy but supple and should clean well, and so on. I haven't cleaned anything up, but did have the wheels professionally trued, at which time my friend the old school wrench ground down the seams as they were a bit 'proud' and offended him.
No pics on the wheels.
I have kept these around, thinking that I was sure to come up with a bike they'd be 'just right' for, but that has not happened.
The other GPX parts are from a 1989 Fuji Roubaix I bought cheaply and ill-advisedly as a fix-and-flip, but it has turned out to have a badly stuck seatpost. I'll eventually get that out, but am not that motivated to do the full rebuild. This 'group' is just the cranks and derailleurs, and one brake caliper. Might keep the BB with the frame. The levers are long gone, as are the wheels. No pics of those parts but they are considerably more worn, still look to be GWO though.

What kind/size Fuji?
I can't believe no one replied to this. It is my understanding this was pretty nice stuff, with the brakes having an internal spring like the Superbee. How is the RD nice and tight in the parrellel pivots? I like the GPX group and wouldn't mind having one but the timing is bad. I have a full Mavic group looking for a frame.

I know, BG, they are indeed pretty nice, in that late 80s 'designer' style ala Shimano Sante. The brief time I had that Ironman the indexed shifting seemed to work fine, but that was not really under load. As soon as I let them go I know I'm going to come up with a frame/fork where the gunmetal blue would be dynamite. Ebay prices are no help as there are absurdly high ones for NOS, which no one is likely to pay, then prices for bits and pieces, often quite worn, are very cheap. A set of brake levers, heavily worn, went for under $10 shipped a few days ago. Almost bought them to go with my 'second' group. But that way lies madness...
Oh, the Fuji is a Roubaix, second from top of the line, size is 58cm I think, way too big for me. I bought it because I recognized it as a rough but (basically) very nice bike...and made the rookie mistake of not testing the seatpost. It was cheap, so I'll get out of it okay. In fact it's due another treatment of drano!

Constant tinkerer
I was going to reply before, but I have no idea what this stuff is worth. It's definitely nice, I like GPX a lot. I would agree it is roughly the Suntour equivalent of Sante. The "problem" is that it's indexed Suntour which is hard to find parts for now. I would rather have a Shimano group than Suntour of the same period, simply for the parts availability.
