Bianchi Premio - canary yellow - good value?
I'm a first-time poster AND a first-time Craigslist bike buyer, so any input here would be much appreciated.
This Bianchi Premio is in good working condition although it shows its use with some paint chips and good ol' dirt.
The description says 12-Speed Suntour 4050 derailleurs, alloy wheels, and new tires (does that mean much?). $320. The seller instantly offered to knock $40 off the price! Should I be worried?

I checked out the bike in person. It fits me very comfortably, so my main worry is that I'm getting good value for my money. I don't mind paying more because of regional price differences; I just don't want to be a newbie ripped off on Craigslist by buying some overpriced cheap-o bike!

Overpriced in my opinion, I sold a similar one last year in the same size but a little rougher condition, and reeeally struggled to get $125 out of it.

Where you are located will have a lot to do with the value of the bicycle. If you live in a hot vintage bicycle market, then $300 is not out of line. If your area sports a weak market, then $150.00 is more appropriate.

Still learning
In Phili, $250 would be about right. Saddle is torn and one day you"ll want wider tires for a smoother ride.

Wow, so many fast responses. You guys rock!
In the end, I decided that it was a bit more than I wanted to spend, and considering that it wasn't a bargain I passed.

Pricing was on high side of fair for a large metropolitan area with several large post secondary educational institutions. Price drop was probably associated with the pending loss of market, with many students returning home for the summer.
