Craigslist deal, can't find the bike's name nor can I get any more pics. Being sold in a local pawn shop and called them but no one had any clue of the bike or how it rides. Hoping to get it for $200 or less. Can you give me an estimate or the bikes name just from the picture? THey don't really give much of a description of it on the ad except for it "rides very well..." They are listing it for $250

thanks!
there's also this bike (https://gainesville.craigslist.org/bik/3747100150.html) which i KNOW can't be worth that much. I am expecting $125 our of it at most...seems stock.

Still learning
There is not enough info in the photo to tell the model C-dale, bu assuming all theire and no cracks, worth it at $200, even with mismatched wheels.

How tall are you? That is a small frame and may not fit you well.
Cannondale: Mid 80's I think, but many of the parts have been swapped. Super stiff frame, some like it, some don't. Bike needs some luvin', so budget for a tune up as well - brake levers loose, bar tape loose, front wheel (or skewer) in backwards, rear skewer is spun tight, not properly installed - gives me the idea that someone who knows nothing about bikes said "rides very well"
If it fits you, and you like to work on bikes, $200, but I might start at $150.
Schwinn: bigger than the Cannondale, but at 5'8" the seller's "just about right" size is probably a little too small. I think your value estimate is right, I wouldn't even make an offer on it, you will just cheese the guy off

Also, see if you can get them to throw in that framed copy of TV Guide (?) on the table behind the Cannondale.

I have a Cannondale Criterium that looks a lot like that one. Mine was manufactured in 1987. Like others have said that frame looks quite small...
I paid $200 for mine but all I needed to do was get new tires and handlebar wrap.

Those old Rosses and lower-end Schwinns are HEAVY and not in the same class as the C'dale.
Generally, pawn shops WAY over-price everything. That price doesn't seem too bad for the C'dale....so I'll bet there's either a lot wrong with it, or it's components have been seriously downgraded.
Getting hard to find a deal even on CL in most places these days (As the Ross and the Schwinn testify).
Best bet for used, is yard sales in more affluent areas.
Do a little reading and try to learn how to distinguish a good quality bike from junk- and you might find a deal if you can stand gong to yard sales (I never can!)

I went to look at the bike and the guy said he would let me walk out with it for $200. But it was crap. Some rusted areas around the crank, dirt all over and tires flat (he wouldn't even pump them for me to test ride). So walked outta there, ill keep looking!

Wow....it boggles my mind. People with $35 bicycles...trying to sell them for hundreds! Really makes you wonder what ends uyp happening to them. I mean, does someone actually come along eventually who is dumb enough to buy them?[Doubt it- it's hard enough selling something good for a reasonable price!]...
I wish you luck in finding something good. Sounds like you have a lot of sense, so you should be O-K. Just hang in there and don't get discouraged...sooner or later, something good will come along.
