Peugeot mixte "women's bike" $90 -- fair or too much?

Hi, longtime lurker, first time poster. Anyways, I found this on craigslist and was wondering if it's a solid deal. It looks like a mixte, but the seller calls it a "women's bike." Also, is it the right size for me? I'm a 5-7 dude. Thanks a bunch!

Yes it is a solid deal esp. in a city like LA; that bike won't last long as mixtes tend to command premium. It is the women's version of a peugeot uo-10 which means it has a nice ally rear derailleur and good quality alloy rims (assuming the wheels are original). Whether it fits you depends. The S claims it is a 57 cm which would make it large for you (but that's mitigated somewhat by the fact it is a mixte); the S also claims is is a 21 inch center to top (or a 54 cm) which is probably your right size. Looking at the pics I'd guess it's a 57 cm but I could be wrong. You can't really go wrong on this bike if you don't mind riding a mixte. You can sell it easily for what you will pay for it if you change your mind.

+1 A very solid if not great deal Pug mixte ready to ride this bike should alread be sold in LA. As for size this bike should be great for 5'7" man.

go get it....buy some black handlebar tape on the way home.....nice bike and you'll like it. Only in the USA is this a "girls" bike. I'd call it a step through frame or mixte. Ride it proudly!

South Central LA? Be careful! It is a fmv deal for a rideable, but tired looking early 1980's Pug mixte. Make sure to grease the hubs soon.

Well, I bought it for the $90 (I offered $80, but the guy said no). It's in exceptionally good shape. Needs a general tune-up and that's about it.
