Identifying a Hercules

I have an opportunity to buy a Hercules bike for $80 and am considering it - perhaps to convert it to a fixie, or, if you guys suggest otherwise, taking the original intent of the geometry in view as well. I'm not in a need of a new bike, but was thinking that perhaps I could fix this one up and sell a machine of a much nicer personality, perhaps making a few bucks along the way.
Anyway, what model you think this is and how good is it, and what is it's value?

Serial #: 5741732

Thanks, guys!

I would most likely install dropbars or maybe bullhorns (probably won't look as nice). And aluminium cranks (looks like square tapered BB).

Hi Ipeklofijs,

there were two European companies that used the Hercules name and both started in the 19th Century. One was English, Hercules of Birmingham and was bought by Tube Investments in the late 1940s. Their brand name bikes were sold in the USA. Usual headbadge had an "H" on a green background.

The other Hercules was from Nurnberg, German and is still in existence. Dein fahrrader ist eine Deutches Hercules. (Forgive my German)
