Miyata 710

How much do you think this miyata 710 worth? the rims are not original, the post says the are ukai rims and that they are 700 x 25c (I'm not exactly sure what this means). This would be my introduction the the world of road bikes and i would use it to go on causal road rides and cruise around town. Would this be my size I am 5'10" The seller is asking 230 and the post is in all caps, which is extremely agitating.
Also this is in Los Angeles
Here is a picture

Thanks for the help!

Looks like an okay deal, but will likely will need bearing rebuild due to age. Most bikes do. Looks like an 86-87 model.

It's a pretty bike, and for LA, the price might be reasonable, though I'm no expert. Judging from the length of the head tube, the bike might be a bit large for you. Looks like a 58cm maybe. I am 5'10" as well, and most 56cm road bikes fit me well. If you go see this bike in person, just double-check the fit by straddling the bike, etc.

Yeah its a sweet looking bike for sure. The seller said it was a 57 cm but I am a little concerned by the fit, I stumbled on the miyata catalog and it said that model came in a 56 or 58.

I've seen that bike listed on CL for well over a month. You should be able to negotiate the price down a bit.
