Bianchi Premio for $325 -- is it worth the hype?
Hi guys and gals,
I'm glad to have found this forum. I'm in need of a decent bike to commute to school, which is not too far. And I recently came across this Bianchi Premio but don't know very much about it. Are the components original and what year may this bike ought to be?
"Excellent road bike with very smooth ride, excellent condition, very low miles. Would recommend for person less than 5 ft 10 in.
Specs.
19.5" (49 cm?)
Re labels on fork and frame: Zerotre 25 Cr Mo4 (25CRMO4-steel), fully lugged, "Made in Italy"
Shimano Exage 300 EX derailleurs/Shimano shifters (indexed)
14-speed; 7x2"
Is $325 a reasonable price?
Thanks,
Jason
PS The seller lives in Livermore, CA.

That is a pretty small frame, unless your under 5'4"ish look for something bigger.

I'm thinking $200 ish, although sometimes small mens road bikes command a premium in certain metro areas.

I live in Berkeley, CA and I'm 5'4". I've own a 49cm road bike before and felt comfortable riding it. The seller said a local bike company estimated the bike's value to be at least $300.
Thanks for the input guys. Before I go and make him an offer, is there anything that stands out on the bike that needed some attention?

Constant tinkerer
Too hard to tell from the small pictures. But realize nearly every used bike I've ever bought/sold (has to be close to 100 by now) has needed on complete overhaul of the bearings and cables at minimum, sometimes a lot more than that. So check those things before you buy.
BTW - a bike shop's assessment of an old bike's value is basically worthless.
