Colnago [mystery] Krono, sans fork

Local pickup, have dibs. Asking price 300 EUR (that's +- 250 GBP).

I have not been able to find one with this paint in any catalogue or on the net. Looks to be in decent shape. Liking the competition eyelet on the front.

It's not exactly a 1988 Master Krono as shown on https://www.bulgier.net/pics/bike/Cat...ago-88/05.jpg; the seatstay is different. It looks closer to https://www.lfgss.com/thread75202.html, but it has different details on the front lugs...

I know the matching CX fork will be 1) hard to find 2) also expensive. What do you guys think, should I wait for a better deal or snap this one up as the start of a restoration project?

Thanks for any info!

Getting a 26" fork that's right for the Krono geometry will require luck, patience, or both. You could pay to have one custom made, but it won't be cheap.

Personally, I'd pass.

You quoted £ and €, but forgot our monopoly money over here. But @ $400, I'd pass as well, unless you see a fork right now on ebay cheap.

Thanks for talking common sense into me
A probably suitable fork just went on ebay for about GBP 150 or so - 240 $ (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COLNAGO-CX...:X:RTQ:GB:1123 )
Of course, that one would have needed a repaint...
I'll pass for now - plenty of other projects anyways!
