Crappy Pics - Any Guesses?
It's definitely a bike. I think the lugs and saddle are telling me it's more than a bicycle-shaped-object, but beyond that I've got nothing. Can anyone add more than that, or do I just need to take a road trip?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Constant tinkerer
My interest has faded. The lugs are kinda cool but that's about it. I (think I) see a cottered crank and claw RD. Plus it's been painted, so who knows what it is.
Looks early 70s lower end French to me based on the headset, brakes, and top-tube cable guides.

That's kind of where I was, which is why I brought it here. At first glance I said "Hey! Lookit that!" Then I came back to it and said "Hmmmm repaint and yeah, the lugs are cool but not Nervex or anything I could ID, but the saddle... I dunno." And so this thread. It's a good hour's drive from me. I'm thinking wait it out, let the ad languish for a bit, then maybe make the drive and look at it as a $100-125 possibility. Maybe a springtime resale. It's got a certain level of aesthetic tastiness, at the very least, and the racks are a definite plus.

I like it. Fenders, racks, lighting, looks like possibly a triple chainring. Looks like a good value at $175.

Looks like a Stronglight Competition headset. If so, likely French. Maybe a Motobecane or Peugeot? Not enough detail in the pics.

Jeunet 620, I think. Repaint. Fauvex lugs, position of braze ons, etc. If you go to look, take some calipers and measure seatpost.
