Can anyone tell me more about this Bianchi bike?
Hi all, I am looking to fix up a bike, however, I am new to all of this and not too familiar with many brands etc.. What do you guys think about this bike as a fixer upper (project)? Can anyone tell me something about this Bianchi bike, and if it is worth $30? I heard Bianchi bike's are good.
Thank you everyone!

Looks like a late 80's/early 90's Bianchi hybrid. OK bikes but nowhere near as desirable as the Bianchi road bikes.
Looks like it needs a fair amount of work. $30 is the max I would pay.
Rapid Fire shifters often need to be relubed / rebuilt at this age. I'll get a pair of cheap new twist shifters if I'm flipping as I'm not crazy about Rapid Fire, and the public tends to prefer twist shifters anyway.

Bianchi Advantage hybrid. Hybrids are under appreciated in the C & V forum, but they have a large following with the general public.
I would pay $30 and even $50 for it in that condition. Last July, I bought a low mileage Advantage from a friendly neighbor that needed minor work and was very clean for more than $50, resold it to another friend for $180, which was below market.

I had one of those and I loved it, even though it was a size too small for me. Sold it last year for $160 even though the paint was completely trashed on it. If I find another one in my size for less than $100 I'll be all over it. No idea why I liked it so much, it's objectively not all that special, but I just did. It's easily worth $30. New cables, new grease, new tires, and a good cleaning and it'll be a great bike. Don't be scared away if those shifters don't work correctly, they're easy to clean out and get working again.

The graphics make it a '90 or '91 and yes I would pay $30 for it. Where I would put it and what I need for I have no idea but it would hard to pass it up at 30.
