Miyata Shredder Pricing

1991 Miyata Shredder -- looks to be in really good shape. Seller is asking 145 -- is this about right? Looks to be mostly original though specs at miyatacatalogs list Rapidfire shifters, whereas this appears to have thumb shifters.

That Paramount saddle has some value too.
Your word is all I need. It is now in my hands. For posterity, I paid 130. It was in almost-ready-to-ride shape. Just a little fine tuning and the parts are all immaculate. Frame looks nearly brand new.

Now...about figuring out how to recoup a little change on that Paramount saddle....

For two or three summers in a row, someone in the Chicago suburbs had a Miyata Shredder in that same size, same color, presumably same year, on local CL at $300. I don't know if it ever sold but the listing didn't reappear last summer. I did not need that bike and the price, even bargained down, ruled out a flip, but I was awfully tempted because:

a. Miyata

b. Green

c. a+b.

At $140 minus some cash for the saddle, that's an obvious buy! Let us know what it's like!
