value of this cannondake sr400 as it sits?
I have a 90's cannondale sr400.
The thing is that it has been converted into a commuter.
The tires and seat are brand new.
However, this bike is not in the best shape cosmetically. There are small places that have rust and the frame has a lot of knicks on it. The wheels/spokes are nice and rust free though.
I havee seen these in mint condition for $400.
What is the value of this as is?
Mechanically perfect. All issues are cosmetic only

Still learning
Black handlebars and BMX grips on a Cannondale are pretty ghetto, in addition to the poor paint condition and dirty condition. I'd say $100-$135.

Anyone interested in that bike knows the work that must be done. C-dale SR's have a premium attached that will attract certain people but it is desire that wins the day. Somebody wants that bike. As is? I would give 125.00 if I were shorter. A 54cm it isnt.

Maybe $100. Someone looking for a Cannondale SR is looking for a drop bar bike. Converting that one back to drops will cost $50+time assuming DIY with nice but used bars and levers. Then the buyer has a cosmetically poor SR.

This is a tough crew. I'd take a look at your local CL to get an idea of comparables. Frankly, I think the bike may be worth more around $150 but then everything on my local CL is overpriced. At least this is a decent bike even if it is in rough shape cosmetically. I take it that the bike is sound mechanically? Writing a good CL ad will help sell it
