1975 Raleigh Professional Track Frame
I saved this frame from being melted down. It is a in good shape with only a couple of tiny dings in the seat tube. It was painted grey but you can see it was red originally. The only other thing is that it may have been modified around the chain stay drive side. If it was not an original crease than it was added later I presume for strength. Here is a link to an album showing more pictures. http://s951.photobucket.com/user/yes...ow/pro%20track
The frame is too small for me at 56 cm. I do not have the time or money to restore it either. So I hope to sell it off to someone who will restore it rather than put purple wheels on it and sell it off to a kid. What is it worth? http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/a...psb4c97827.jpg |
I would throw it on CL for $225 and sell it to the first person who shows up with $200 cash.

If you're up to it, I'd use a 1" diameter steel bar with the end ground down to a bullet shape and carefully work the seat tube dents out. You're lucky it's the seat tube with good access for cold working dents from the inside of the tube. It might bump the value a bit to a prospective buyer.

The headset is worth $100

On ebay... Roulette of course, but with a buy it now of $325. It might just leave. An auction depends on if and qty. quality of feedback. |
Thanks for the input on the frame. I ended up selling it to the owner of my LBS. I gave him good deal. I`m happy and he is happy.
