Bianchigirl- help identifying frame and a little advice...

Hi Bianchigirl,

I have seen many of yours posts on bianchi threads and I wondered if you might be able to help me identify my frame. I have done a little research on it but I have not exactly figured out what year it is or what precise model.

I also thought you might be able to offer a little insight. I would like to build the bike up as a rideable road bike with 10 speed gearing. I was thinking of buying a modern groupset like Shimano 105. I would really like to use 'brifters' and am wondering if you have any experience using this modern equipment on an older frame. I understand the rear spacing will have to be adjusted. But what about the bottom bracket and derailer hanger, etc?

I would appreciate any insight you may have. You can view the pictures of my bike here-
