Hi, I am looking at this particular bike with keen interest, I would (yet again) appreciate forum members comments and appraisals.

Someone has changed to a wide-range freewheel, and a rear derailleur to handle it. I don't recognize the cranks or shifters. Bike looks pretty clean.
In the US, the Ventoux was a mid-range bike of Reynolds 501. Models may have been different where you are.
Value - in my market (Portland, expensive market by US standards) during the summer (all bikes go up in price), it might sell for USD 200-250 ish. In winter, USD 150-200. I have no idea how relevant that is to your location, though.

I am expecting to have to pay something similar in UKP, for some reason UK market seems to be filled with low end Pug's, I think this was below the Aravis in the UK line up.

Depends on what you want to do with it.
I have a Ventaux from '86. I'm not sure what changed on a stock model between '86 and '87, but it looks like there are plenty of things swapped on that machine over the years. So if you wanted to restore it to original - it may cost you more to do than it would be worth re-sold.
As-is, it would probably be a good rider. A little clean up, new bar tape, etc... minimal costs.
Cold setting the rear would allow you to hang modern components if you want to put a bit more money into it.
Personally I'm considering cleaning up my Peugeot and dedicating it to wind trainer duty. I have hand me down vintage components (126mm rear end) that would be a nice upgrade to the original hardware.
The original price was probably ~$500. I wouldn't pay more than $200 assuming that it is basically road worthy.

SH27 Are you looking to buy all these bikes as riders or to flip or resell? Makes quite a difference in pricing.
