NOS Mavic GP-4 rims, also wheelset with Record Cassette hubs no ebay takers.

I forget who I bought these from but other than one 50milish ride I never used the wheels, and the pair of rims was never built.

I looked at completed auctions for GP-4 32h rims and though I had a decent reserve but after a month no bids over $70 am really asking too much at $180 plus $30 shipping?

Then the wheels, Campi Record black hubs w/ skewers laced to GP-4s w/ Vittoria tubulars, beautiful no brake marks they look flawless. Again no serious bidding on a very nice wheelset the reserve was rather high with $50 shipping but I have not shipped wheels in some time.

Any ideas on a good price for either? I just can't understand why it seems like if I want to sell something I have to practically give it away, I am tired of losing money on ebay.

Do you post over at the Paceline forum? They have a classifieds section that is very busy and they love Campy wheelsets, I'd try for $400 on the wheelset as they are now. If you are committed to ebay, I think you may have to sell the hubs on their own as a lot of people will want those hubs but will want to build them up to suit their own needs.

I think you could get more for the hubs alone than the built up wheels. As for the rims alone, you should take the $70. Nobody seems to want tubulars... great for us who like them (I bought a pair of new GL 330's with Suntour Sprint hubs for $50 on ebay), bad if you want to sell.

Never sell tubies on ebay they never bring any money. When the Paceline was the Serotta forum I would have agreed, drop them over there but since the switch it's been different. I'd try Vsalon first then Paceline at least they're Campy tubies. I tried to sell as set of century grey Centaur laced to Omega's on both ebay.com and .de and got no love I guess no one wants tubies.

No haven't. How many post do I need to be in the classifieds or do I have to pay like here?

Well your prices seem OK but my experience is used older Tubulars just dont sell move. No almost no one wants to ride them. If your game you could list them long term 30 with a fixed price and wait it has worked for me on a lot of older racing type parts. It took 6+ months but I sold my collection of corncobs for $20-40 a piece. One other extreme option would be to delace the black Campy hubs with scewerss and sell them seperately you should get $50 a piece or more for each. Sad thing is on ebay you could pull the campy scewers if there black and in nice condition and sell them as a set for $60 maybe or so.

They have around 50 miles on them and according to earlier post are the current production hub. So I would not really consider them old and used.

75%/ well lets see I paid $400 divided 4 that's lets see....really? that's all? I'll just toss them in the tip then, no sense wasting any more time and effort effort trying to sell them.

I would think most people buying used tubies are looking to try them out. They want a cheap set. Kind of like me. I would think that anyone who is into tubies has enough money to buy new. I am sure those wheels are worth every penny your asking, but there are so many wheels out there for less.
