Any love for a 1962 Raleigh Grand Sport?
I have a 1962 all original Raleigh Grand Sport (missing saddle). I know pics, pics, but my question is more philosophical. The bike is worth more parting out all the Campy goodies but is there some worth keeping it complete. I have a couple of winter project bikes already and I favor Columbus and Ishiwatta tubing. I don't know that I would enjoy riding this bike if I bring it back because of the frame material. The bike was outside for a time around 1965 but has been stored indoors since then. There is some surface rust and the paint and decals are long gone because of a rattle-can spray job. It's 22.5 size. Am I missing some "the value is greater than the sum of it's parts" mojo with this bike?

This bike would make a nicer beater type rider if you wanted to fix it up. The old Raliegh steel frames had a great ride quality. But considering the rough rusty frame with with rattle can paint. I would say just part it out.
